How to Get Stars in Clash of Critters

Stars come from consistent objective clears. Build for reliability first, then replay stages with stronger Tataris when you can meet every condition.

Star Farming Checklist

  1. Read stage objectives before starting the fight.
  2. Bring control for wave-heavy maps and sustain for longer maps.
  3. Replay near-miss stages after upgrading your core team.
  4. Clear daily and event tasks that award star-related progression resources.
  5. Return to older stages after evolving a top-tier Tatari.

Best Early Picks

Use reliable Tataris over fragile high-roll picks. Dewgrub and Buddi-style units help with stable clears; Goonbug-style control helps prevent objective failures; Taptail or Voltfawn-style burst helps finish time-sensitive objectives.

Common Star Problems

If you keep missing one star, the issue is usually team balance rather than raw level. Add control when enemies leak, add sustain when your team collapses late, and add burst only when objectives require faster clears.

Objective Types to Watch

  • Clear survival: use sustain, defensive picks, and safer positioning.
  • Fast clear: bring burst and avoid overloading the team with slow utility.
  • No leak or limited damage: prioritize control, slows, and reliable wave clear.
  • Boss pressure: replace some wave control with single-target damage if small enemies are not the main issue.

Replay Strategy

Do not replay a failed objective ten times without changing something. Upgrade a key Tatari, swap one team slot, or adjust your timing. The best replay targets are stages where you barely missed the objective, because a small upgrade can often turn a two-star clear into a three-star clear.

Daily Star Routine

  1. Claim codes and free rewards first.
  2. Spend stamina or attempts on current main progression.
  3. Record stages where you missed one star.
  4. Upgrade the unit that solves the failure reason.
  5. Replay missed stages at the end of the session.

When to Stop Farming

Stop farming stars when the next objective requires a major team improvement. If the problem is survivability, do not keep forcing burst upgrades. If the problem is time, do not keep adding defensive units. Use the failure message as a build guide.
